Thank you for allowing us at Howard Elementary School the opportunity to share with you our student exercise room. We are extremely honored to have been able to purchase such a terrific set of equipment. Our students and staff take great pride in our fitness program.

The machines were purchased from American Made Fitness Equipment out of Pontotoc, Mississippi. This company was extremely helpful and easy to work with throughout the bidding and purchasing process. The total cost of the sixteen pieces of equipment, sixteen running boards and the other exercise items that were included in the bottom line price was $20,000.00. This price did include shipping and delivery to the exercise room. The equipment is made of very high quality materials. Of course... we love our school name monogrammed on the backs (included in the price)! This purchase was made in March of 2006.

The exercise game bikes, also located in the room, were purchased in May of 2007 from Time Travel Fitness out of Birmingham, Alabama. We purchased four bikes at a total cost of $3,356.00 including shipping and handling. The GameBike Pro controls movement on the screen when run through a Sony Playstation, PS2, XBOX, or Game Cube, not included. The game systems and televisions were purchased through local vendors. These bikes are made with commerical grade materials.

Now for the BIG question... how can we purchase such items on a school budget and still have money to operate? We are what you call, tight, VERY TIGHT with our money. If our school, students and staff, doesn't need it to further our learning and fitness experience, it's simple, we don't buy it! In the near future, we want to be able to add various other items, especially the dance revolution pads.
